First off, I want to say how excited I am that Torque3D is now open source. I think that open source is a great thing for Torque3D and its best chance at success. I think in order for Torque3D to be successful, it will have to follow in the footsteps of other successful open source projects.

Greetings everyone! Another big blog about a great series of updates for Torque 2D. We have pushed an update to Torque 2D's master branch, which warrants a post about all the changes you should know about. Some are flashy, some are basic, while others are going to completely change your work flow (in a good way).

DEM Terrain is here! This is a HUGE map (2048px square). A new folder has been added as well, its Bilder: Architect; the particular module I'm developing being: Roads and Bridges 1. I've included an audio track for some variation -and learn a few new programs while I was at it. I now have a solid base on which to Bild.

We've just released our second pack of conifer tree templates for Forester Pro, the 3D tree generator for Torque3D. Each template allows you to create randomized models of the same tree type which you can pose and edit.

Just a little update on the progress of my mini movie set to begin shooting next month. I'm using TGEA 1.8.2 for it then going to port it over to Torque 3D. Talks about the backstory, and why I'm doing this. Check it out, you might like what you see... includes screen shots of whats in the movie.
