Zombie Game Jam

Today on my daily call with the guys at Graham Software, they accused us of having a zombie addiction problem. They are right...we have issues. In fact, our addiction is so bad that we've decided to have a 24 hour zombie game jam starting on Friday after our Halloween party 9:00PST/05:00GMT.

The lack of a free version is killing Torque

I've taught a course on game development using Torque2D and iTorque2D for the last 2 years at RMIT university in Melbourne, but this year the university has decided to switch to Unity. This is because there is no free version of Torque for students to use at home.

The Quest for Navigation - Update 1

As I posted in my blog back on October 13, I've created a fully-customizable navigation graph that is capable of creating, saving, and loading a full-level navigation graph at a fast speed. The graph can easily be adjusted for min/max height, slope, and object types. I have been working the last week on the AiPlayer functions to utilize this graph.

Fog Of War, Classes, Militia, Deployment, Making It All Work

Moving from the strategy part (Civ-lite-esque) into the squad tactics battle part (X-Com and Laser Squad) Also the "fog of war" system I wrote last night - those American IPAs really helped :)

We Made A Pack, With Zombies in It!

Bad news everyone. They got Mich. Today, Zombies broke into GarageGames headquarters. We all ran away while Mich thumbed through his zombie survival guide to determine the best possible route for escape. I saw him heading north towards Reno.
