Torque 3D 1.2 - Disembodied Arms

Another week, another Torque 3D 1.2 blog! Last week I showed off some of the objects we have created in Torque 3D 1.2 in my Turrets, Proximity Mines and Teleporters Oh My! blog. If you have not read it I would suggest you check it out, I am proud of what our developers and artists were able to achieve. This week I will be showing off one of the larger features that we have worked on for Torque 3D 1.2, a split between first person and 3rd person.

Obscure Games: Sewer Shark

This game... was terrible but with it being part of my new shiny Sega CD I played it. The game is about sewer jockey's and you had to clean up the tubes. At a certain "poundage" of rat meat you could go to the top side paradise.

Drawing with the command console....

Hows it goin'.... Just messing with drawing symbols and pictures with the command console (using C++). I thought I might as well outline the symbols used to create the graphics so someone else could use them for a laugh if they wanted. At present I working on a retro adventure game using C++ and notepad. Just for practice and the sort. Retro is king! :)

It's been a long time. This may be the last TGE project still in development. It's just about done, and here's an interview about it.

Tergus... In the begining!

What is Tergus, and who am I? Why am I using Torgue 3D? I am a hobbyist, I don't have a studio, and I don't plan to make any money. I only want to have fun and fulfill a dream

Turrets, Proximity Mines and Teleporters oh my!

Welcome back to another week of Torque 3D 1.2 goodness. After showing some sweet, sweet eye candy with Chinatown I wanted to jump into a couple of the new features that we have added to 1.2. Three of those things happened to be AI Turrets, Proximity Mines and Teleporters. To steal a line from Eric, not only do these features help teach some cool lessons in Torque, they are also just downright cool.

Obscure Games: Policenauts

When I first got to play this game, I couldn't understand it. It was in Japanese for the Sega Saturn. I heard in "Tips and Tricks Magazine" about the game and I asked my dad to get it for me when he went on his yearly trips back to Okinawa. Once I got it I popped it in (Had a cart that allowed me to play Japanese Games) and I forgot one important detail ... I can not read Japanese. It was sad times.

Torque 3D (Just Purchased)

This documentation alone has got me to purchase Torque 3D. The last version of TGE I had was 1.5.2 I believe. Great product, then I started viewing Torque 3D.
