Today, InstantAction informed employees that it will be winding down operations. While we are shutting down the InstantAction.com website and Instant Jam game, Torquepowered.com will continue to operate while InstantAction explores opportunities with potential buyers for Torque. We thank all of our past and current customers for their support.

@Alan: There might be e-mail receipts for products bought. That and a screenshot of the My Products section should be something, at least.

How "challenged" are the forums? Need any help? :)

Good luck to all TP/IA Employees, its been a joy to float around the forums and see the progress Torque has made throughout the years.

Side Note: Now we'll never know who won UnearthlyChallenge's Torque Award!

Good Luck to all employees ... I hope you find something soon. To all the decision makers are Instant Action ... I really hope thins work out and that you are all able to work something out for yourselves and for the Torque product.

Hopefully things will all work out in due course and the community will be able to continue with its love for the Game Engine that really inspired me.

[CONTINUED]
Can I just ask two things:
1). Will we be able to get an opportunity to get the offline version of this website? There is some valuable information contained herein and I would hate to loose any of it.
2). Will we still be able to download latest versions of all our purchased products before the final closure?

I know you have a lot on your plates right now guys ... and I am truly saddened to hear this news ... but I guess life moves on.

@Ronny,
That sounds fine for verification. I won't be a stickler (is that a word?)

The update from one version of PHP to the next (honestly I'm not sure which version my host moved to) primarily affected using "'", i.e. if you use a contraction...it won't post...and I'm sure there are quite a few other nuances that have been affected.

Unfortunately my web site designer is serving in the Navy for four & a half more years (three in Sicily) and our communication is pretty limited! (Kyle, my son).

I won't sidetrack, they work basically, so we'll see what shakes down over the next few days...thanks! (part 2)

part 2

i hope you guys do get a buyer or maybe we all should call bill gates and tell him to buy torque and fund it with unlimited amount of money hehe. torque would really move then would it not even though hes not going to but its still good to think it.

i already have back ups of all T3d versions i am missing some of the older ones like version 1.0 beta 1 and beta 2 but i think i have all the others.

They had nothing to do with this, Brandon. This was an IAC decision based on $$$.

One big indicator that something was wrong recently was the release of the Starsiege/Tribes IP to HiRez. They started selling off assets.

Really sad news...tgb is my favourite tool and I'll continue to use it...

Made a 99$ drop price when you'll be sure of your death. A lot of people would buy it..Die WITH money is better that die WITHOUT money.

They are looking to sell. if they drop their prices too low, the buyer of torque will be screwed. They would only offer that if they had no buyers for sure. or make it free

That's kind of really, really sad news for everyone. We had 2 projects in development one on T3D and another one on TGB. And I just got first soundtracks for our project yesterday, was very exited... Damn.

@Valentine: TGB is very mature. Still a few things to fix, but the amount of patching I've done to 1.7.5 is minimal. You can still make something with it :)

Here's a pipe dream: Valve picking them up and continue developing T3D and some of the other products. Then us Indies could potentially release through Steam...

Bummer guys! I really like T3D and I hope that I'm not forced to migrate to Unity if Torque goes away.

And it is especially a bummer for the team. Best of luck to you guys!

Very sad news indeed !

I hope good luck to everybody : Torque ex-employees and Torque products owners.

Hope to see you all on the web with T3D under a new flag.
