Today, InstantAction informed employees that it will be winding down operations. While we are shutting down the InstantAction.com website and Instant Jam game, Torquepowered.com will continue to operate while InstantAction explores opportunities with potential buyers for Torque. We thank all of our past and current customers for their support.

This is really sad to hear. I've only just saw this as I thought "I need to download TGB again" and came across this. Glad that I did so that I can download all the latest updates and such for my purchases just in case.

I wish you all good luck in your future endeavours and hope that the Torque Engines and Community can be saved for future enhancements.

Feels like a huge chunk of the Indie community just died. :(

Search functionality "currently" is broken on the site. Google FTW!

Does this mean no one can purchase an individual Torque Engine license?

Thank you Eric for the news. Is there any public reporting place that has additional information on the topic as you can see we have a large base of interested parties.

Might be my fault for not looking, but I just bought Torsion, Torque 3D, and the programmer's guide to torque. I can download Torsion, and Torque 3D, but the book isn't download able so I'm wondering if I will get that or not? I just read through this whole 50 page post, and may I say this community has broken my heart, made me laugh, and touched me. I'm keeping hope that whatever has to happen to let us indies going will happen. We are behind you all the way Eric!

@Hunter:

As Joshua just prooved, as long as the servers are going the indie licenses are still there for the taking. There was word of some server glitchiness, temporary, while this website was made independent of shared IAC services.

@Joshua:

When I bought my copy it was a physical book, you'll probably see it at your doorstep soon enough.

@Peter J: Did you buy the book? cause the shirt was a gift with T3D pre-order license - not with the book - T3D and book are different products

Hmmm, I bought the T3D license and didn't get a T-shirt :(

You had to buy it during the pre-order period in early 2009. It was a limited edition run.

That's when I bought it, right before the cost went up to $800...

How about a little more good news? The Cat and the Coup, made in TGB, has been announced as a finalist for the IGF 2011 Nuovo Award. Go Torque! And congrats Peter and Kurosh.

The Cat and the Coup

Excellent game!

Rather than a further celebration of militarism, as oh so many games are these days, it seems to instead want to try and wake us from the nightmare. Go cat!

CRS has been kicking in recently, but if I do remember correctly, it wasn't an automatic process. You had to email them when you made the pre-order and tell them what size t-shirt to send.

Now admit it... everybody here is waiting to grab post 1000.
Hey I got it! I want to thank my mom and my dad and my beautiful wife and my son... I love you... Thanks!
