Skills

Primary Skill:
Advanced Programmer
Summary:
My gaming work experience includes a stint at LucasArts Entertainment as a Lead Programmer and Senior Programmer, time at the ill-fated Dark Horse Interactive (part of Dark Horse Comics and Cryo Interactive), and a couple of other game companies that tanked. I made a living doing shareware back in the late eighties and look forward to making indie games for the casual game player.

I am currently developing indie games through my own company, DarkViking Software. I have developed a computer language and compiler/translator called Slang. Slang offers functionality not found in other languages that reduces the software development process dramatically. Slang is not yet commercially available.

In a previous career, I managed development of navigation equipment for general aviation (Loran and GPS), was a design lead for high-end full-motion flight simulators for the Air Force, and a software engineer for an airplane landing system.

I have a degree in Computer Science plus graduate work, an interest in film and television, rafting, camping, softball, baseball, and folk dancing. And I have worked with kids for many years as a director of a Norwegian summer camp. I love to travel!
