- Summary:
- I had the pleasure of serving as GarageGames' CEO and CTO for a few years, overseeing a period of rapid growth as we fulfilled our mission at the time of making it easier for developers to make games and to successfully bring them to market. Now, as the company has expanded, I get to focus on advanced technology R&D, which is in some ways even more fun! I'm very happy that our company continues in pushing the Torque engine forward and that we're now also able to make our own games and to provide the InstantAction web game platform to other developers and publishers under the leadership of our new CEO, Louis Castle.
It is amazing seeing the industry today changing so rapidly, and hopefully we are helping to take it to new heights. Today, it's possible once again for small, independent teams to create fun games on their own terms, and to create successful businesses attracting fans. As a gamer, that makes me happy because it means more variety and creativity in the games we play.
I simply could not be more excited than I am about the games industry as a whole, and I'm proud of the contributions we've been able to make to it over the past several years. I am most proud to have seen and been some small part of the wonderful contributions and games created by the community here. It's truly been an honor, and I wish everyone luck in their endeavors to make great games!
