Veloce Racing

Hi all, after quite a bit of talk with the people working on games at Faintmedia we have decided to work on a racing game called Veloce Racing. The game will be made with TGE and we are going for a realistic racing game, and maybe in a sequel we would move to tgea for better graphics (or Torque 2 if it is out when we decided to make a sequel) but that's just a side thing. So far we have began to make the vehicles and are working on making maps. I hope to have this game multiplayer, I think that would be a nice addition to it.

I have only ran into a few problems so far, one is that when I am making an oval track it is difficult to create a nice curve at the either end of the track because they seem to turn out choppy and when I put it in torque to test it when I get to the curve it crashes the game.

There is only one car done being modeled, it still needs to be textured but we just wanted to make sure that it worked in the game engine, here is a screenshot of it:

Well that’s all for now, I hope to get that car textured and a map done soon (and hopefully solve the curve issue).

LOCKDOWN: The Future of Warfare

I decided a little while ago that I was going to set Ed's Adventures off the the side for a bit and work on a new game LOCKDOWN: The Future of Warfare. The reasons are: First off we actually have a script in the works (Ed's Adventure had little to no script written for it yet), the second is I have been playing a lot of Battle Field 2 and there is so much I believe I could do better with this game (except this game is takes place in the future).

The basic story line is the Japanese have been working on advanced robots and when World War 3 starts due to a nuclear bomb exploding over the united states, an underground group steals the Japanese technology/robots and they attack the U.S.

Thats the BASIC storyline we have a way more in depth one being worked on.

I have started to modeling while the script is in the works. At the moment I am nearly finished a weapon called the R26 A, It is an assault rifle. However I still have to texture and get it ready for animating but right now it is quite high poly (nearly 1000 vector points). So once I reduce that I will texture it. Here are some screen shots I have of it:

Side:

Front:

Picture:

Just a little bit off topic right now but I have launched a new site called Faintmedia, which is who is designing this game the site is still being designed: http://www.faintmedia.com

Constructor Model and A Near Impossible Task

Hi, I have finished tweaking the first model made in the torque constructor for Ed's Adventure. It is a small hut you will come across if you go down a secret path:
Picture 1:

Picture 2:

Picture 3:

I am using the default textures and still not sure if I will make new ones for this or not since they fit quite nicely.

A few days ago I was working on a part of the game where you have to cross a river by jumping from platform to get across. It seams like a simple enough task (for the player) but after my brother trying to cross it for 45 MINUTES I knew that it was to hard (he did eventually make it across) so I am going to have to go back and make it a little simpler (the level it was in was the first level too) here are a couple pictures of it:
Side view

Top View

Items for Ed's Adventure

Here are some more items I have made for Ed's Adventure, the gun turret:

This is a box where you will be able to get weapons from:

I hope to have Ed textured soon, I ended up remodeling him.
1st version

2nd version

Ed's Adventures

I have started on a game a few weeks back and am slowly making progress on it. The game is called Ed's Adventures. So far I have finished the landscape to the first map, now I need to model the objects and characters that will be in it. The character you will play as is Ed and he is a rabbit, I haven't perfected his model yet nor textured it so I have no screen shots of him. I do have one character done, he is an enemy, a worm with a jetpack to be exact and I do have some screen shots of him:

Well thats all I have for now I will post more progress soon.
