Looking for contacts

I have got old. There was not much I coould do about it. It just happen. I have done alot of engineer/programming in my past life. I have interest in using computers to develope characters, do 3d modeling and animation, and now computer games. I did alot of computer simulations in my past life. The biggest problems is that it has been hard to make and keep contacts. I would like very much to be able to work with others but this has been very hard to do. I have been a computer software developer in the past and even had some governmant contracts. There must be some place where I could fit in. I would like to get involved with somekind of gaming project. I am new to gaming but not to simulation. I do use the MAC and that appears to make me a second class whatever. I think with all the people that are interested in game making, we could do something big and complex. This is the 3rd Blog I have written asking for somekind of involvement. All you young people out there you are going to get old and there is not much you can do about it. Time can go by so fast. I think I can still be a useful person and can be of help in any type of work effort. The point is to keep trying until you are unable to do any trying. Let us do something together. We can do it.

Interest in working with someone

I am an old engineer/programmer that can no longer find employment in my choosen field. My son was interested in making comic books. Since I have been using computers a very long time, I started in to looking at how computer can be used in making all forms of art. This has led me to various computer programs and implementations. While I have found alot of informatiions and programs related to my interest, I have found it very hard to get people to work with. I have basically been a computer hetmit the last serveral years.

My investigations have led me the torque game engine. I am very interested in working with this product. I have found the documentation to be not as good as other documentation I have used in the past. Also, aot of the documentations appear to be for out of date versions. I would like to work with some other people in the use of this tool. This could in the help of the other persons projects or in the implementation of my own projects. I have found it very hard to get any good relationships in these field.

I am very much interest in AI, fps, and in RTS type games. I would like to understand the Torque game engine aliittle better. I have been a programmer for a long time. There are hundreds of computer development tools that I have learn to use over the last 50 years. I know computers and computer development. I would like to use this knowledge in the development of computer games. I am a MAC user. I would like to work with some other people if possible. I hope there may be some interest.

Thank you.

Fred Kask

I am interested in Game design and development. I have been working with computer for over 50 years (US AIR FORCE 1955 - yes I am old and cannot find work). My son was/is interested in making comic books. Since I have worked with computers for a long time, I started to look into using computers to do comic books and various other artist tasks. I am not a paper artist but I know how to use computers. I have been working with and using several 3d modeling and animation programs. We have developed various chanacters and story lines for both comic books and animation.

I would like now to work on game development. I am a MAC user and I was an MAC developer for awhile. I have used XCODE and most MAC software. I have started to look at the Torque Game engine. This does not appear to be the best solution but has been a starting point. I am interested in porting our characters into various game enviroment. Also, interested in improvements of our characters as we are not true artists.

I am looking for any help I can get in these areas. I can program and can debug code. I have found in this past that it is hard to make contact with other people with simular interests. Therefore, most of the work I have done has been by my self with some input from my son who works full time. I cannot find work, so I am available almost all of the time.
