Assault rifles. The recording sessions. All TGE related.

I have been contracted to do sound effects for a TGE FPS so it needs a lot of weapon sounds. In my experience, the best sound FX are the actual sound effects of the object in question. Since I have an extremely good portable audio recorder, this is not a problem for me.

Here are video and sound samples:

Sound of the AK-47 fired AK-47 3 shot burst

Video of the AK-47 being fired AK-47 being fired on full auto 296k.

A sample of the UMP-45 UMP-45 5 shot burst

It is a pleasure to do these recordings. I even have an opinion about Submachine guns now that I've fired some. My personal favorite? The Colt 9mm or the AK-47. The Ak-47 has more firepower but is harder to handle. The Colt may not blow through walls but I can aim the blasted thing. The work continues.

And thats all for now folks!

Mythic Blades has gone from Beta to Release Candidates.

Beta test is over. We're still testing the release candidate.

Nick Palmer provided 3 excellent tracks on a very short schedule. I will be using his talents again if possible, which is probably the best recommendation I can give.

Pablo Alonso did a fantastic job testing the game and not only stepped up to the challenge but went way beyond the call of duty. He has been a superb tester and Mythic Blades is better for it. We are conspiring on a project of his.

I'd also like to thank Wahoo Studios for providing an excellent Maxscript.

There are new screenshots up at Cartel Games of the new Minotaur character. Minotaur vs Oddyseus

Thats just a straight screenshot. It does look much better at 1600x1200 and in motion.

Okay this seems like just a big thank you to a lot of people but how many games do you finish per year? I appreciate all the enthusiasm these great people have brought to Mythic Blades.
