buttons + theora video clips = animated buttons -- rev2

Wow turns out recording your desktop in linux is quite the experience LOL. Here is some footage of buttons playing back videos. Blue = normal button action , grey is highlighted and red is depressed. The video isn't smooth due to the capture software dropping frames it looks like. After several takes this was the best i managed to get :)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYgS0mRQRKI

buttons + theora video clips = animated buttons

I've recently been enjoying tinkering with video playback within torque and came up with this silly idea of having video enabled buttons for a project i am working on.

Took some figuring out since i had never looked at that code before but after some tinkering i got this working, most of the code is based on the GuiTheoraCtrl and GuiBitmapButtonCtrl classes. The only issue left to fix is when switching from one menu and then back to the original menu the video isn't restarted from the beginning. Hopefully I should be able to post this as a resource within the next few days once i fix that last problem.

More codeblocks

Well had some time this weekend and created a lexer xml file for codeblocks to syntax highlight torque script files and created a set of project & workspace files for use with codeblocks in Linux for the RTS starter kit.

Both can be found either @ draekko.atspace.com or draekko.awardspace.com.

torque + codeblocks + linux

Since version 1.5 of torque came out i've tinkering with it and recently decided i needed to modernize my toolset (hmmm mcedit). I went looking for a crossplatform IDE and have since settled on Codeblocks (@wwwcodeblocks.org). With some work i managed to get Torque to compile with it in Linux. YAAAAY! Will be posting as a resource a tarball of the CB workspace/project files once i get all of it (tools, server, etc...) working.
