Games Games and Games

Hi, Oh My!
I am glad that I made Glutton and it is nearing completion. I kinda rushed at the end because even though the game, I tried to keep it all good and better best, time is running out.[Due to real life distractions not limited to g1r0xx0lz!] The Game as an individual effort, I think, is satisfactory for me. I also tried best to reduce the labor and optimize my efficiency in making the game. But there is always a chance to improve.

I remember the dialog from movie Matrix "There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path" L0lz! But its kinda true with making Games. But I am not into movies that much though.
Games are always better compared to movies as they have that extra dimentions. Dimentions of Z (3d), as well as dimention of interaction. Only if more people could play games. Gaming requires more skill on the player compared to movies. Player needs more brain power to process what he is viewing. But due to High quality graphics the scenes are comparable to real life scenarios and hence that "processing" is reduced. The lesser the processing the simple the games are and hence easy to play, but graphicaly superior.
Saurabh

Glutton Screenshots of whats going !

Ya, the posts are always delayed. When they get posted you bet they are always delayed. I had seen so many posts starting with that delayed circumstances expressed whole heartedly but I think that nice too :).
Glutton Update:

The Game is going good and major parts as completed. Now I will be releasing a testing demo soon (I hope not to delay it further ) :P
And a few screenshots:

Saurabh

Still No Demos

OK what next ?
The game in question still is under development and the suspense of it getting completed is killing even me. Probability of me being bitten by feature creeps is all time high. Just like hidden surprises there is always something that is left and yet to be done. When major parts are finished, the labour is lowered and the brainer requires to be worked even more, which probably i don t have much :D.

Why so many delays:
Well I wasted a lot of time in making unessary arrangements like moving to a new flat which is smaller and more elegant but it simply does not help game development. (How can it help?) Its just an unessary delay. I was by 3-4 months trying to figure out the new locality and stuff. Had to supervise the workers , new kitchen and wardrobe. This crazy man. I can survive with boxes but its takes hell a lot of time for making all that furniture stuff. And a lot of saw dust for sinus(X.X). Then the phone line and a new Internet connection and so on many things.

Computer Problems:
New position in time and space will definitely lead you to new problems and thats true with computers everywhere (even in hell). All those vibrations in traveling did make that fragile pc components poof! You know how the graphic card and ram do a handshake! And I also am a very naughty, Crapped the OS and regs so much that had to install OS 4 times. Which one? well I use Windows 2000 and its a total crap, for all those patches and updates. There were adwares even before I installed SP2 and it was SP4 later that I figured that wowexec.exe was one of them. Glad I have Norton and spybot, the latter is free and a lot better .
About the game:
I will probably post an update and Mebbe demo sooner or later. It will definately be completed(>).(<). Demo will be free. I just want GG community to know , how much great full i am for their support. The name of the Game is "GLUTTON" Its a simple game."Glutton is a voracious eatty worm" thats how I put it.
Thanks.

Some Recent achievements.

I am starting to get the idea now about this world! The GG world. Actually not very used to this Blog thingy.I dont know why in general people post in their blogs hehe. But I am getting the general idea. Its not like I never used the internet but some things , you may never know :)

Well I think Its a good time to tell more about me.Well, I am a lone wolf. Those are six lines :D. Do blanks count? Being a lone wolf is difficult and very impractical in application. hehe

Project: Recenty I entered the LD48 #8 chalange and I secured my positions as 19th in Graphics category and 10th in sounds category. Well in the other categories I am there but you have to scroll below(yeah down there.LD48 is not an ordinary GameDevlopment challange but it strains the every bit of nerves out of you.I am glad I managed to complete my entry in time. My game was made using DX8.1 using C++. The site is developing though.
I have a simple cartoon strip in making. And its related to computer and games. But production is slow.

More about me , I can do a lot of game related stuff both graphics and programming. My style is to keep simple.Simple in the sence I try to complete quickly because of lack of time here and there.I do simple designs basically, cartoons are always on top of my mind. 3d & 2d. Illustrations. Vector designs. Traditional hand drawing.Web art including shockwave and Flash(including programming)

At this moment in time and space I am seeking to work as a partime paid artist.
