Overlord Management System
Overlord is a Web 2.0 application for managing projects and people, built with PHP, MySQL, and AJAX. Installation is as simple as uploading the files to your own server and filling out a simple form. Once setup, you can add as many users as you like and setup as many projects as you like. Each project can have an unlimited number of milestones, tasks, checklists, bug reports, files and messages.
Overlord is primarily designed for mod or indie game developers and enables them to maintain an organized project and to keep their team members up to date. But with a little creativity, it could be used for almost anything.
With advanced task management options, there will never be a question about what each team member's assignments and responsibilities are, or what their progress is; everyone can see exactly what's going on at any time by checking the project overview. Developers can stay focused on creating their game or mod, instead of constantly worrying about who's doing what, when it's going to be done, or what they are supposed to be doing.
Communication is a snap with the built-in forum-style message system. Custom message categories for each project mean less clutter and confusion. Messages are stored on the site as long as you want, so you don't have to worry about losing any important information. And they can be tagged, making it easy to find them later.
The file manager allows almost all assets to be kept on the site, organized into user-defined folders and tagged with keywords to make finding the right file as easy as possible. Files can also be attached to any item and can be commented on by any user.

No Limits
There are no artificial limits in Overlord like there are in other project management solutions. You can have as many users, projects, and items as your database can hold.

Group your tasks into logical Milestones and create a timeline for your project by giving them deadlines and setting up dependencies.
Task/Bug Management
Overlord uses a simple interface to create, assign, and update tasks and bugs, allowing everyone to stay on track.

Communication

This Software Licensing Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and Random Developer ('RandomDeveloper'). These are the only terms by which RandomDeveloper permits any use of the Software.
RandomDeveloper Licensing Agreement for Overlord.
1. The Software.
The Software licensed under this Agreement is the computer program entitled 'Overlord', which consists of executable files, data files, and documentation.
2. Grant of License.
RandomDeveloper grants you the nontransferable, nonexclusive right to use the Software in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
YOU MAY: (i) load the software into RAM as well as install it on a hard disk or other storage device, and (ii) make one copy for backup purposes.
YOU MAY NOT: redistribute, disassemble, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based upon the Software.
When you purchase the Software, you will receive the full registered version. You agree not to distribute the registered version to others and to use it only for your own personal use. You acknowledge that distribution of the registered version to others, whether intentional or unintentional, could damage RandomDeveloper both financially and professionally. Any unauthorized distribution of your registered version will result in immediate and automatic termination of your license, and may result in civil and criminal penalties.
3. Copyright.
The Software is owned by RandomDeveloper and is protected by United States copyright laws and international treaties. RandomDeveloper reserves the exclusive copyright and all other rights, title and interest to distribute the Software, and to use Trademarks in connection with them. "Trademarks" refers to the name of the Software, the Software logo, the name RandomDeveloper, and the RandomDeveloper & Overlord logo.
4. NO WARRANTY.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS-IS". NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE MADE AS TO IT OR ANY MEDIUM IT MAY BE ON. RANDOMDEVELOPER WILL PROVIDE NO REMEDY FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM IT, INCLUDING SUCH FROM NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONTRACT, EVEN AFTER NOTICE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
5. Term.
The term of this license grant is perpetual. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by destroying all copies of the Software in your possession. Your license to use the Software will automatically terminate if you breach the terms of this Agreement.
6. General Provisions.
This Agreement is the sole and entire Agreement relating to the Software, and supercedes all prior understandings, agreements, and documentation relating to the Software. If any provision in this Agreement is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force without being impaired or invalidated in any way. This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard for its conflict of laws principles. With respect to every matter arising under this Agreement, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts sitting in Lane County, Oregon. This Agreement does not create any agency or partner relationship. Your rights under this Agreement are personal and do not include any right to sublicense the Software.
