Make Ava the star of your Torque game, or change her look to create a whole new character!

AvaPack contains a fully rigged character model, texture, animations, config files, and scripts. Put all these ingredients together, and you've got Ava: beautiful, mysterious, and possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of small arms. What a woman!

There's no assembly required - Ava's all ready to be dropped into some Torque-powered action. And she's not alone: AdamPack fights by her side, and is completely compatible with Ava - right down to his skeleton. Ava shares a Biped rig (scaled to her proportions, of course) with Adam, and because of this she can use any animations built for him.

If Ava isn't the character you're looking for, that's not a problem. To create a whole new character, simply change some of Ava's ingredients - like the texture and model - and re-export. That's the way the pros do it - building upon an existing framework whenever possible. It just makes sense - why waste valuable time building from scratch every time you want a new character?

In Ava, I've taken care of some of the trickier tasks for you: the Character Studio skeleton, the rigging, the 3dsmax hierarchies, the config files, the scripts, and the directory structure - everything that constitutes the game art "pipeline" for a complete character. I've even tackled some of the more difficult subject matter - like naturalistic musculature and facial structure - so you don't have to. AvaPack also includes the assault rifle you see here.

AvaPack has something to offer everyone on the game development team. Experienced artists can use AvaPack to learn how to build for Torque, beginning artists can use AvaPack to learn how to model and texture map, and programmers and designers can use AvaPack to take their games up a notch in quality and realism.

NEW! The talented folks at Torque-Motion.com have created incredibly realistic motion capture that works with both AvaPack and AdamPack. Check out this great addition to the Torque product lineup on their product page, and see many more samples at Torque Motions's site.

AvaPack is professional game art at a fraction of the cost. For your next title make Ava a part of the team!

AvaPack.max - 3ds max file consisting of the Ava player model, with three LOD (Level of Detail) models. Ava's player model has 1526 triangles, and her LODs have 954, 580, and 328 triangles. The player model and the LODs are rigged to a Character Studio Biped skeleton.

PLEASE NOTE: AvaPack's 3ds Max source files are Max 5 format whereas the source files for AdamPack, my previous character pack, were Max 4. That means Adam's files can be opened in Max 4 and all subsequent versions. Ava's Max files can't be opened in Max 4, but they can be opened in Max 5 and all subsequent versions.

player.dts - Torque Game Engine player model, exported from AvaPack.max

Textures - Layered .PSD file with separate "paper doll" layers:long-sleeve shirt, jeans, shoes, socks, sports bra, and briefs. Also, separate .JPG textures of fully dressed and bra/briefs versions of textures, as well as an export of UVs.

3dsmax files and .DSQ files for Ava's animations: root, forward, back, side, lookde, head, fall, land, jump, diechest, scoutroot, headside, recoilde, sitting, celsalute, celwave, standjump

AvaPack_Assault_Rifle.max - 3dsmax file for Ava's rifle, with a single LOD model. The assault rifle is 684 triangles, and the LOD is 259 triangles.

weapon.dts - Torque Game Engine weapon model, exported from Assault_Rifle.max

.CFG files - for export
