For legal reasons, the contents of the patches must be co-owned by GarageGames. This means that GarageGames will have full rights to the patch and all it contains. You will of course maintain the same rights to anything you produce and/or submit. You cannot submit anything that does not belong to you, or that cannot be bound by this agreement. i.e. you cannot submit GPL'd code, or code otherwise Copyrighted by someone else.
Assignment of Copyrights
You, "Contributor", agree to the following:
By submitting the works, Contributor hereby assigns to GarageGames, its successors and assigns, any and all of the undersigned's right, title, claims and interest including, without limitation, all copyrights and renewals and extensions of copyrights, and all contingent, and moral rights, in all works created by Contributor for GarageGames.
Contributor acknowledges that GarageGames has exclusive rights, title and interests in the properties granted by this Agreement, and will take all reasonably requested actions, if any, to perfect this interest, such as signing further documents as may be required. Contributor agrees that software, code and other works assigned by this Agreement are original to Contributor and do not violate any laws or third party rights.
GarageGames grants a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license back to Contributor to use the software, code and other works assigned by this Agreement.
This Agreement shall remain in effect for as long as Contributor provides software, code and other works to GarageGames, unless modified in writing by the parties.
