by Robert Stewart · 02/15/2006 (8:33 pm) · 9 comments

Ok so anyone who read my last blog know's about the Pathfinding I have been working on for the RTS Kit.

Well for a couple day's there I got side tracked and started working on some other cool things for the RTS Kit, however I cannot talk about that yet.

Anyway I started working on the Pathfinding again today and had a good time with it, let's just say that it worked out better than I imagined.

Here is a video of it in action.

I will release this code as a resource in a couple days.

Oh yea the pathfinding should work with any shape and it takes very little resources. Also, that blue particle effect and the smaller box are indicating where the ray intersected.

Excellent, Well done Robert, I know this will be a big help to a lot of people out there, myself included.

Can't wait to see what else you are working on.

I have installed the demo of fraps but I'm still having trouble seeing this it plays but the screen is white. A couple of days! wow I guess it was a good time to switch into RTS a lot of neat things are coming out.

I having been working with the Torque Engine since January 2005, i have just bought the RTS kit and i know i have a lot to do to make a fully working game, pathfinding is the most important part of a realistic RTS and i cant wait to see it in action...
