Download Code File

This resource is similar to the In-Game Scoreboard Shape resource which can be found here: http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=4646. The .zip file contains a banner.dts object, related .png files, script, and instructions on how to add scrolling banners to your game scene.

The banner.dts shape contains several planes which are textured with letters of the alphabet and a limited subset of punctuation. Each character has an associated sequence which when played hides all meshes except for the character mesh of the sequence. The script uses the Schedule() to advance the scrolling when the banner has scrolling enabled.
