Also feel sorry for the author after reading his story. The material is really great!!!
Edward,
Since you have released the materials, maybe you can consider selling documented tutorials/demos at GG.
Or you can conduct classes (for a fee, of course) for people on TGE.
Make specific enhancement to TGE, and sell it as a coding pack.
Sell documentation on TGE networking codes.
You can do it! But this time, you have to work abit faster :) Better late, than never.

This is great stuff and well written. There may still be some way for Edward to gain some return-on-investment.

I have been pouring over it for over an hour and I have a LONG way to go! What a great contribution to the torque community.

-items to complete
-items to document
send them my way, or post them here.
You can get them to me directly at the address you will find in the readme.txt that comes with the PDF(s). Please note. You will see an occasional EFM here and there. They mark things I was supposed to revisit or promises I needed to verify were fulfilled in later chapters/sections.
Currently, the Audio Emitter description DOES NOT match the engine. That was for a patch that I submitted which didn't make it into the engine due to a timing conflict w/ the 1_2 release. I never followed up on it and am now getting requests to put it back in. I'm working on it, really I am.
Again thanks a lot! I've gotten more traffic (read as bandwidth consumption) on my site in one day than I did up to this point for the whole year.

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate the comments and the rating. Please don't forget, if you find anything wrong with the guide (almost sure to happen), or if you have any wishes for:-items to complete

your book, but hey... Didn't you think of it as a positive thing?
Why not just build upon what the other author has; Cover the things he hasn't; Make things easier? I'm not going to complain about the guide... I really think the community needed this from the beginning. Maybe make a paypal account and Ask for donations?
I'll donate? The reason for me not buying the other book, is that
i'll need to order it, ship it, and pay a huge amount because of our exchange rate... So you do that, an i'm sure other people wouldn't mind to donate... It's ont gonna make you rich, but hey...
Cheers...
BTW! Thanx you sooooooo much!!! :D

Yea, I would also recommend putting a donation button on the site. It's very easily done. You could also keep the materials up to date and sell them as an e-book on the GG site for, say, 5 dollars. I'm sure you'd get a lot of interest.

@Edward, dont give up the way to make a bit of money from your hardwork. Publish it electronically and keep it uptodate, through the gg site. Thats Ken's book cant do. ;)
5-10 (4,95-9,95) usd, totally fair for this work. Do that !

Two small notes -
- If there's a feedback email on your site or in the guide, i couldn't find it.
- There's some typo business down at the bottom of page 12 in the scripting pdf.
i *think* the block about echo doesn't belong there.

@All - This is really happening. A formal announcement was made at IGC'04. An update to the announcement including TOC's, screenshots, descriptions, etc. should be coming in the near future from GG and myself. Thanks for downloading and using this content.
Note: The free stuff does have errors and is now getting quite dated. EGTGE Volume I and II are being kept up to date with the latest TGE features and many corrections have been made.

@Orion - I've been (practically) away working on EGTGE Volumes I and II. Thus I have not been doing a good job of replying. I can be contacted at e DOT maurina AT verizon DOT net. Just put EGTGE in the subject and I'll see it right away. @All - This is really happening. A formal announcement was made at IGC'04.
