Argh! Exporter not decting bounds and collision?

by Instinctz · in Artist Corner · 08/08/2009 (3:02 pm) · 3 replies

All right well every time I attempt to export something from blender the DTS is showing the bounds and Collision boxes.

A year ago I made some models and exported them and everything worked fine. Now after reinstalling blender and downloading the latest exporter even the old files are having the same issue.

Is there something i'm missing? Something changed for the exporter or what?

I followed the Shape > Start > Detail 32, Col0, empty structure and everything else I can think of according to the TDN.

Any ideas..

Well to solve my problem..

I reinstalled blender just for the safe side, I then went and downloaded an older version of the exporter. The first one is currently beta, which is what I used the first time.

Its working like it should now. I would have to say its a problem with the beta exporter since it was corrupting even my old blend files.

Which version of the exporter did you finally use? and where did you get it?

I'm having the same problem that you were. When I export with a collision object all I see when loaded into Torque is the collision object. The model is there (inside the ugly gray cube) but yech!

I'm using Blender 2.49a (b seems to have some problems with the unwrapper/texturing).

Thanks

Export Structure in Blender->DTS:
shape
     detail64
             Mesh
     detail32
             Mesh.001
     detail16(etc)
             Mesh.002(etc)
     Collision-1
             Colmesh-1
     Collision-2
             Colmesh-2
Shape/detail#/Collision-# are all empties. Bounds should be a seperate object outside of the hierarchy (though it seems to sort itself out fine regardless of one or not)

For exporting via Collada read up here -> www.biomassthegame.com/j20090721.html
