ACID Pro

I own version 3.0. I was quite upset when 4.0 was released like 2 years or less after 3.0. So, I stopped buying ACID products for now.

BUT, I'm wondering if anyone here uses ACID Pro / SoundForge for their gaming music/SFX or if you have preference over another product? Cakewalk?

Check out Reason by Propellerhead Software. It's great for many styles of music.

Mmmm very tasty software. Same price as ACID, yet it boasts more features. Thank you Mark!

I liked ACID (specifically the Rock and DJ packs), but you're right, I got turned off by the thought of buying all the extras for it. Never got ACID Pro, I was just not able to justify the price tag for the functionality I would be getting, just wasn't that serious into the music. I liked having fun with with it, but recording actual songs was a total pain. I thought about using ACID for my first project, since the ACID Rock program alone had quite a bit of stuff for a budding developer. Now, I might not. Wouldn't be opposed if somebody had it and wanted to use it, though.
