I posted this to find anyone that knows an Exporter for Milkshape, to export Half-life mdl's
I hope someone knows.

You export .smd, and then compile them into .mdl
Grab the HL SDK for more info...

ok i think i understand, i just export to SMD, then i go to compile half-life or whatever, and it turns it into an mdl? also when i try to export to smd, it says "found Vertex with invalid bone assignment"
also i dont have any bones on ot, i tried with bones, and that didn't work either.

It has literally been years since I have touched the HL model tools but if I remember correctly, the error you are getting is caused b/c all the vertices in the model have to be assigned to a bone (which means you have to have at least one bone).

Check out www.planetquake.com/polycount/resources/halflife/index.shtml. They inherited most of the tutorials from Coldfusion when it shut down.

You should also look at the tutorials on the MilkShape page.

So I've noticed =P If you read *just* a little further down past the exporting to smd part (since you've already mastered that) you will see that the rest of the tutorial deals with compiling your smd into a mdl
