"Electronic Arts announced revenues for fiscal Q3, which ended December 31, hit a record $1.23 billion, up 48 percent over last year... EA said that 11 titles, including Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, FIFA Soccer 2003, Medal of Honor: Frontline, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and seven others sold more than one million units during that quarter." ~ pg.8 Game Developer Magazine April '03

1st comment: They will need all that revenue to compensate for their huge loss on Earth & Beyond, Motor City Online, Black & White* (while B&W intially performed well in sales, Lionhead Studios will be releasing B&W 2 in December '03... I predict massive failure due to producing another micro-managing game which is what turned players off) ~ pg.48 PC Gamer April '03

2nd comment: I sure hope EA is posting revenues accurately. I'd hate to seem them become another casualty of the Enron era per se.

3rd comment: For as many sports titles released by EA, I'm rather suprised that the one that was mentioned is FIFA Soccer. Perhaps this adds to the hard evidence that Soccer is "the" International sport despite it being 5th+ in popularity here in the USA

Just some observations and ramblings.
