Splines 'n Action

Here are a few screenshots of the spline support currently existing in the engine(sorry about the load time). Many of you may not be familiar with Tribes 2 but splines were used to create the effects seen in the repair gun, the elf gun, and various other weapons used throughout the game.
I know that there was talk on various threads throughout the history of this forums on how to get this to work, but the sad fact is, it has always worked, it was just a matter of finding it hidden in the various files that make up the engine.
Hobbiticus, one of the Legends programmers, is mostly responsible for getting this awesome effect from the drawing board to reality by figuring out how the spline functionality in the engine actually worked.





As soon as it is possible I'll post a resource or tutorial covering how to add a this effect into your games. Please excuse the white line in the screenshots, that was used to test the ray collision.

That really is smooth looking. Thanks for going through the trouble of putting something together for the community.
if you could please could you atach a light to the projectile? i think that would make the screeny even more awesome :D
