Mac/iPhone 3D dev?

Hi, I've been looking through the engine info and forums and as a last resort I'm posting because iTGE isn't listed in the Engines Category and searching results in Private Forums for iTGE owners (chicken and the egg). One of the screenshots on the TGE page states is no longer supported which adds more confusion, and while not intended by GG is a little frustrating when your trying to piece together what engine will get the job done.
So far my misguided assumptions are (lets assume Im going for the least cost, eg not making 250k... otherwise I'd buy a copy of everything and not waste peoples time with the following):
Say I want to go 3D. Right now TGEA (Until Torque3D is released) but the iTGE requirements state TGE is need for iPhone dev and thats no longer supported. TGEA is to be replaced by T3D which makes sense from a consolidation standpoint for support/maintenance/common sense/etc but what does that mean for iTGE? The upgrade path as suggested in other posts would start and end at TGE.
I downloaded a TGEA demo, was a guy standing in a room... the TGE demo was the Orc one. Are the tools I see in the screenshots only available on Windows? I understand that you need to compile with XCode but how is terrain and other things shown achieved on the Mac?
One more while I have your attention, if you can port to multiple platforms does that mean you are required to have a license for each platform, eg say you have to use Windows for the 3D toolset and your going to port to mac/iphone, thereby you have one installation on a PC and another on a Mac.
If this has been covered then please point me to the forum(s) that clarify my question.
Cheers.

TGB, TGEA, T3D runs on Mac and Windows, and you are free to release for both. iTGB and iTGE give you iPhone OS support. Then there are specific Xbox 360 and Wii engines at higher prices.

You need TGE for iTGE, and TGB Pro for iTGB. TGE covers Mac, Windows and Linux. I found the product page here: www.garagegames.com/products/tgeTGB, TGEA, T3D runs on Mac and Windows, and you are free to release for both. iTGB and iTGE give you iPhone OS support. Thanks Ronny. What would be nice to know is, with iPhone going OpenGL ES2 what does it mean for the no longer supported TGE, bolting on 2.0 to the existing engine or iTorque3D?

The platform layer will be adjusted accordingly similarly to the way it was ported to the existing sketchy, mostly undocumented OpenGL ES driver.

Could I add to this?
Can anyone tell us what the roadmap is for Torque 3D and iPhone development - if there is one?
Busy building a crossplatform app with Torque 3D but concurrently need to build an iPhone app. Will there be an iPhone "add-on" for T3D?
Are my only options now to buy TGE and iTGE to develop for iPhone, while building the PC/Mac versions on T3D?
Best regards
