What other sites might i be able to find people to help me out on my mod team? Im looking for people who do this stuff on their free time and not for money, just for the game.

Instead of looking for help in the Internet, if you are looking for someone to work in your project for "Free" and just because they want to, I really don't think the Internet is a good medium to do it unless you have established yourself a good reputation or have some games or mod under your belt.

I think it would be better that you do some social engineering, looking around if any of your friends, classmates, relatives, or anyone you know is interested in joining you. Its easier to gain support from people you know than complete strangers.

If its not enough, maybe you can look somewhere else, but in otherwords, that should be a later option :)

Even if all your friends have no skills in scripting/modelling/etc/etc but understand computers then you're best off having friends as a team for many reasons.
1) you can probably communicate with them easily
2) already know if they are lazy and won't get the job done =)
3) they probably trust you enough to know that the idea you have for a game/mod is going to actually be release-able.

even if your group of friends only knows eachother via the internet it's still better than complete strangers because you know eachother.
