Importing Heightmaps and L3DT Support

Hey guys and gals,
I'm kind of new to Torque 3D and I was playing around with L3DT the other day and was having trouble bringing in my diffuse and normal maps into Torque 3D for my terrain height map from L3DT. The height map imports fine but when I try to add my texture map or normal map to it the engine crashes or doesn't display my terrain at all. Is there a special way to add a texture map to a terrain height map in T3D? I don't think it's the size map i'm using because I have tried different sizes and get the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also is there any plan to implement Atlas into T3D? Thanks

Michael you don't happen to know if there are anymore resources like that floating around for beginners? I've been trying to find some resources for beginners but haven't been able to find anything that isn't beyond my skillset. If anyone has any resources that would be fantastic. thanks again, that resource was excellent.

The new Terrain docs are being pushed today or tomorrow, which will help shed some more light on the various values and functions of the TerrainBlock, Terrain Editor, Terrain Painter, and Terrain Material Editor.

There are a few more L3DT resources that were created for TGEA that might be a little help. At least, for using the tool. Check out the TGEA documentation page for more. The new Terrain docs are being pushed today or tomorrow, which will help shed some more light on the various values and functions of the TerrainBlock, Terrain Editor, Terrain Painter, and Terrain Material Editor.

I'm having another problem using L3DT heightmaps in T3D - they all get imported flipped (or mirrored) in the y-axis ... East and West. I don't see anything about this in L3DT or T3D.
Any suggestions on how to flip the terrain or export/import the map to avoid this in the first place?

*Robert- I'm going to check out what you're talking about but if it has something to do with the fact that everything that pertains to the skybox, terrain and materials seems to come in mirrored that might help you solve your issue.
Thanks

Thanks Michael, I will check out those resources, but I was referring to any resources in general to learn how to use T3D. Any Links will be helpful.*Robert- I'm going to check out what you're talking about but if it has something to do with the fact that everything that pertains to the skybox, terrain and materials seems to come in mirrored that might help you solve your issue.
