Yes but how do you make it so the glass part of the window is transparent or see through like windows in our homes

Depends on the engine, and the modeling tool used. Basically, you would have to set your texture as transparent.

Transparrency on DIF's is very buggy, I had it working in 1.7 but 1.8 it makes the terrain dissapear, also looking at a transparrent texture, such as a tree's leaves through a transparrent window on a DIF doesent show correctly.
The only way to get a properly working glass pane is to create it as a DTS and place them ingame into the frame as and where required.

You use a separate model for the windows, making them with something like milkshape in DTS format, then place the windows into the cavity from within the engine.Transparrency on DIF's is very buggy, I had it working in 1.7 but 1.8 it makes the terrain dissapear, also looking at a transparrent texture, such as a tree's leaves through a transparrent window on a DIF doesent show correctly.

Setting a texture as transparent in a modelling app is usually a simple flag before exporting. Using transparencies in TGEa may require the use of materials.cs file for proper results -- the documentation should cover that too.
Always feel free to ask questions and look/search the forums too -- there's a wealth of information available here.

You can use Constructor to create your Interiors. Check out the documentation page for Art for a list of modelling tools that have a dts exporter. You can use such apps as Blender, MilkShape, Studio Max, Lightwave, etc, etc (depends on your budget and how well the particular app supports a dts exporter). I can make it all from scratch to show you how it's done if there's any other questions.

Won't using alpha channels to see through the window fix your problem?
