Hello,

I have not been around for awhile as I have been working on my affiliate site. Managed to get a screen done as a test and wondered what people thought.

Might not need to tell you but I am working on a breakout style game, I am aiming to add some unique touches to it.

Screen is not nearly done but thought id get some comments :)

I think the background would benefit from a toning down of the color to get more contrast unless thats an intend effect.

generally the graphics (especially paddle and ball) could benefit from some rework to add more contrast. Right now they look a bit like thrown out by a "stone texture generator" pushed through a mask & bevel step.
In which way they could be increase best depends on your unique touch as the graphics should benefit and support that touch

My critique; the ball doesn't seem to belong. Perhaps giving it a light 'stone' look as well would help it blend in.

Hello

Thanks for the comments - I agree with them, I do need to get looking at the graphics a little.

I work 2 jobs so its hard finding the time to work on the game, I have however decided to concentrate on finishing the design doc first as I do believe this is important for organization :)

Thanks again
