very large vehicles

I'm interested in having a very large vehicle (specifically, a ship) you can walk around on, that moves. I'm soliciting opinions on whether this is feasible within the current engine as is. Current vehicles seem small-scale things that you "mount"; I want something more on the order of a mobile building. Can I just scale up, say, the hovercraft, and have it do the right thing?

    Out of the box, no.

    Unless something has been done to correct this in the past few weeks, walking on DTS meshes doesn't work correctly. :(

    The engine only supports convex hulls in collision handling. Hence the 'mounting'.
