Given the quality of your work (from what I have seen of it), I would say don't worry about it, just submit it and wait for them to become your fans.

well I found the submission thingie, but problems... : )
I use a null texture and its not in their pack..
null is good for portals which cut down on fps.. : )
and keeps rain and stuff out of the building... also I use Tribes 2 to compile my stuff.. which is compatible with torque.. I use all my old difs in torque and no probs..
so will this be a problem?...

Just send us the nul texture to so we can add it to the pack, shouldn't have to be much of a problem...

Just send us the file man we could use some good buildings =O)

ok
I am working on a hut, I saw some pics on your site and decided for my sample to try and create the orc hut one. with the fire place in the middle.. I will post a pic soon and send you the finished files.. along with the null... : )

wow ,
this is harder then I thought.. the texture pack is a little slim no?
alot of the textures are just doubled and tripled up.. as in 5 floor tiles all the same color basically.. yikes...
Ok I got some textures of wood and stone and will toss them in.. plus I have no clue as to how a orc hut should look.. : )

Race Descriptions

Check under the "races" area... the last paragraph of each describes the look of their buildings and such.

Basically, I'd just try to ensure that they don't look symmetrical, and that they look earthen. It's not a very good example, but the hovels on the original Stronghold map are sort of decent examples.

Yes the texture pack is a little slim, we hope to get aditional textures in the future.. Actually we hoped peopel whould start to make their own and submit it to what we have sofar... O well all in good time i think =O)

That's alot Tim how about you start with let's say 20 or so and zip them up and send them to me.

I will talk with logan see if we can put something up on the realmwars game site so people can pick the once they think they need. They can build their buildings with it which in turn will be reviewed, so we only need to add the textures needed for the buildings once we get them...

I think this is important because we don't want unused textures choking the downloads.

that dosnt sound so good. I dont want to see any of them go unused. I mean i could just offer them to people myself. I wanted to improve the resources people were given to work with not trickle in a few textures for people to maybe use at some point if they downloaded them. The idea is to contribute actively. How do i get these into realm wars? I dont want to beat around the bush or exclude the ones i know people will want to use. There all equally good if a head developer of rw dosnt want a particular texture in thats fine but im not going to waste my time trying to help people that cant help themselves. There sitting here waiting on my hdd for whenever someone can assist me in getting these to the artists asap.

I am no artist etc, but I have to agree with Tim here. Look at HL, they have a boat load of textures and even more than can be downloaded and used. It can only be a good thing, as long as you pack is not to huge :)

Yeah hey i dont mind some getting cut but id like to see these hit artists hd's in a short ammount of time and trouble. I cant see where this process could be bottlenecking...

Well I have cable so bottle necking is not a problem.. and since most textures that are used are jpg then it shouldnt be a problem with size.. : )

Well, I have 56k, so bottlenecking should be a problem ! :)

my textures are all png. So they dont loose quality with each saving... I want to see these textures affect all rw's artists asap. again how can i get these into the rw's project in a timely manner?

Hmm, if I may quote Pascal:

Quote:

I'd suggest you ZIP them up and send them to Pascal.

[edit]
AFAIK, JPG's don't loose quality either when saving them multiple times - if you save them with 100% quality.

Nah i dont want to send them to just anyone id rather deal directly with a person in a position to formally acknowledge and insert them into the project for EVERYONE to use. I know pascal can receive them and work them into rw's somehow... i guess... But like i said before and ill say it again, i have a30 textures that need to be added to the rw's project. And i will most definetly be loosing interest in this attempt to help the struggling rw's project, if it becomes impossible to help. So whenever i can get these into the rw's artist pipeline IN GENERAL (not sending them to some guy) The better the materials you guys will have to work with...

Erm, ever looked into the RealmWars-Project Manger Module ARTS:

It says there:
Module Managers Pascal "decoy" Bos (Manager)

If you don't like that, put the textures on your website and make them available for anybody there.
