MMOG Game Development with Torque Engine

I am currently integrating a 3rd-party MMOG engine into Torque.
My plan is to keep as much of the network code as possible. But If I have to rip it all out then that's ok too. I really like the message packing and some of the other net features so I'm looking for a way to keep the infrastructure and maybe just swap out the low-level transport type code.
I am looking to get some development tips from other programmers out there trying to do something similar.
If you are currently developing an MMOG and want to share some code design or related resources then contact me or post to this topic.
Thanks,
