Good stuff Harold. I've been waiting for this because I really wanted a cheat-proof version before I put my left hand threw the cramping required to get some of those old (power-up mod induced) high-scores. Let's see if I can make a dent in the high scores this time :)Justin "Jack Trash" Mette

I can assure tou that none of my times are taken with any kind of cheats.

I may take advantage of certain "exploits" in levels though... but thats not cheating! It's strategy.
I wonder when new names will be added to the high scores besides mine... =P Come on people, I want a challenge!

Same, I'm too stupid to know how to cheat :)I may take advantage of certain "exploits" in levels though... but thats not cheating! It's strategy.

Hey, if I ever get a high score up there you'll know I must have cheated. Just kidding. But great work Harold, this is really cool.

There was a large enough change in the checking I perform that required me to throw out the old scores just to be fair to everyone.
And if I forgot to mention it. You must be using the current version of MarbleBlast for your scores to be recorded (1.3). Also I currently do not have the code enabled to wipe scores when certain "cheats" are used (like editing the mission), this will be enabled at some time though.

The old scores will be put back up on an "Archive Site".There was a large enough change in the checking I perform that required me to throw out the old scores just to be fair to everyone.

I got an 11.06 on Around the World, but evidently something didn't work -- maybe I;m not at 1.3??? Was Marble Blast patched and no one told me??

Sure was... I just found out it was patched recently as well... click the "Message of the Day" thing while in the game and it'll tell ya!

GJ though, I don't see how you got some of those times...

Is there something I'm missing? How can you get an 8 second "Hop Skip and Jump". Am I missing something??

Steve, all I gotta say is be creative... don't do what the game wants you to do. I'll just say it involves bypassing all the powerups except for the gyrocopter. Also remember that running at an angle (press both forward and left/right keys) makes you go faster than just pressing forward. Trust me, it is very possible. I've gotten 8.60 four times so far...

Great mod, but it works very unreliable on my system - it either uploads the score and crashes (segfaults), or does not upload it at all. My Marble Blast version is 1.3 (Linux). Is there anyone else who tried this mod on Linux?

Haven't tested the MOD on linux.. Might be a problem with the TCP object implementation since I do not use the HTTP objects, but instead use the TCP object.

I tried it on linux, and it doesn't work. I'll check it out.

For those interested I've sent a new version to John Quigly to test. If that works I'll post it up on the site as a replacement for the one that was there. More for the Linux and Mac users then those on Windows since it is a bit more lax on certain file operations.

Please help a stupid person. I can't seem to get the mod to work. Assuming that the game is installed in the default location, what should the target line read?

I hate DYK. I mean that in the cruelest way. He beat my Hop, Skip, and Jump score :(

BTW: Any news about new version of ScoreLog? "Hop, Skip and Jump" is one of just a few levels on which I can submit my score :(

I'm under Linux (Debian unstable x86), and it doesn't work for me. I can do Escher's Race in 1:16 reliably, but I can't prove it. :(
