Bug: Enabling Edge Antialiasing causes distortion in editor (screenshot)

by Jack Stone · in Torque 3D Professional · 05/03/2009 (2:08 pm) · 2 replies

Upon Enabling Edge Antialiasing in the options menu, I got the following bug on entering the Editor. Disabling Edge AA, and Switching to Basic lighting fixes the problem.
I am running Windows XP SP3, with 2 Geforce 7900 GTX GO's, although SLI is currently disabled.

If you look carefully as you hit F11 to enter the editor you will see that the engine tries to resize the actual rendered section into the smaller space (heightwise) and seems to never recover from this untill you go back into play mode, i'm assuming that the editor triggers a modified version of the rendering sequence somehow or passes some data that conflicts with some defaults.

I had this issue initially but it seems to have cleared itself up after adding all of the fixes from Bug Fix Thread. (and a recompile being the only other thing I've done).

edit: also check your card settings to make sure AA is off/application controlled and better still delete the program entry if you have one.
