Problem mounting weapons on vehicles

Hey everyone,
I have a problem mounting a weapon on my wheeled vehicle. When i'm viewing from 3rd person in the game, it mounts correctly. However, when I'm viewing the game from 1st person, the weapon is no longer mounted where it should be. Instead, it looks as though the weapon is being mounted at the eye node of the model.
Here are some screen shots of my very cool wheeled vehicle demonstrating this problem:

The first shot shows where the weapon *should* be mounted.
The second shot shows where it's mounted in 1st person view.

Grrr. stupid brinkster won't let me link directly to the images.

eesh, my daily bandwidth limit has already been exceeded. And the only thing on my website are those 2 screen shots..... looks like i'm gonna have to set up a web server on my own computer lol

Thanks for any help!

Check to see if, in your weapon's script, you have the eyeoffset field used. Try to comment that out so the weapon defaults to the offset field when in the first person view. That might do it...
