Hello all,
I have just graduated from university and I'm looking to turn my hobbyist tinkering into a serious business over the coming years. "indieSpring" is very much inspired by and alligned wih Jeff Tunnell's advice over at "Make it Big in Games".
GG'ers may remember an early T2D game called chainWorks:

I think it's a good candidate for our first title. Suitable for many platforms (Desktops, iPhone, Flash + Consoles) and small in scope and artwork requirements, I've had some great feedback over the 5 years I've been toying with the game. I've also worked out a few other small "casual" titles which can be rapidly built with (i)TGB, and are well within my skillset as a coder.
What I really need, what I'm really missing is someone to work with, an artist. I don't know anyone with the required skill, so I'll need to find someone. I don't have the financial means to pay for any work at this stage. The ideal partner would be someone in my position, having just left uni/college, plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and looking for a coder to help his/her ideas become reality.
I plan to focus on small, addictive, 2D titles across a selection of platforms initially to build a revenue stream for the business. Obviously I'd love to work on titles any potential partner brought to the table too.
So if you're a 2D artist, dedicated, enthusiastic and looking for a scripter to help you make a start in the industry and bring your ideas to life I think we'd be a great match : robsandbach@gmail.com
Thanks for your time,
Rob
