Does anyone have any information on this format?
Seems it is a Discreet format but other vendors are supporting it also?
I have done an EXHAUSTIVE search of all the major search engines and Google Groups ( Formerly dejanews ) and found nothing useful.

I need the specs on the format . . . which seem to be some kind of state secret, I really would hate to go off and cook up my own version to do the exact same thing.

Right, that is not what I meant. I already found all the easy to find information as I already stated in my initial post and I found NOTHING useful, and what you posted is less than useful because it appears that it is a discreet format not an SGI format.I need the specs on the format . . . which seem to be some kind of state secret, I really would hate to go off and cook up my own version to do the exact same thing.

RPF is an extension of the old RLA format that basically contains contains channels beyond RGBA such as velocity, zdepth, motion blur, camera, etc.. You can find a lot of information about RPF format from sparks.discreet.comLogan

Thanks Logan, that was very helpful, after some digging around on that link I think I found what I need, but if not at least I know whom to ask.
