Kaydara Filmbox format all the way. That's how I get Maya models to Max to Torque. Works like a charm.

Alex, when you say an official Maya exporter, does it mean it's final? The reason I ask is because we tried to export some animations in Maya and we got some errors. I was wondering if this is the final plug-in or it's still been worked on at the moment.
Thanks.

The Maya2DTS exporter is presently a beta release. It is still in development.

Is there a rough estimate (1, 3, 6 months?) on when the exporter will have it's final version? I know it's hard to predict any software development time, but since you are more familiar with it, I figured you might be able to tell.
Thanks a lot.

Several exporters that are currently out there are being done by community members without too much interaction with GG, and so are "unofficial"

Sorry, it is official in that it is being developed by Clark at Bravetree (who also wrote the max exporter) and it is being done with GarageGames support. Several exporters that are currently out there are being done by community members without too much interaction with GG, and so are "unofficial"

I could not get the exporter to work with Maya Unlimited version 6. Any suggestions?

You need to use a version of the maay2dts exporter plugin that is compiled specifically for Maya 6. AFAIK, there isn't an official one yet. You can always grab the exporter source from CVS and compile it yourself.

I have been trying to stay away from having to install a c++ compiler on my pc. So far, so good.
