FMOD Ex?

What exactly is this product?
www.garagegames.com/products/fmod
It doesnt describe how it ties into TGEA or any torque engine for that matter. I would be interested in buying it if it adds doppler effects directly into TGEA like it says under the features tab. Anyone want to chime in and explain what exactly this product does/is?
Thanks.

I've used FMOD for three years with TGEA. It doesn't tie directly into TGEA but the SFX layer can support it so it should be plug 'n play. The API is well documented and IMO it's of really good quality. You can create nice DSP effects like the ones found in HL2. I would imagine these to be nice for a aerial combat game, though they're obviously "only" cosmetic. :)
I don't know how the new license here at GG works, though. It looks good. I also don't know how stable SFX is with FMOD. We used our own wrapper.
