TGEA & T3D Linux support ?

Hello !
I got several friends who bought the old TGE mainly because it supports Linux.
They didn't "upgrade" to TGEA because it doesn't have an official Linux support.
I want to know if there will be a Linux support for TGEA and/or the upcoming T3D.
By support I mean - would it be possible to port the games for Linux easily like it's done in TGE ?
Thanks in advance.

I hope someone does. I'm sick of the half-assed products that MS has been shooting out lately, and Mac is still way to over priced. I'm running Ubuntu, loving it, and eager to get to developing some games. And I'd love to use Torque.

I will take the plunge and try to port it, I guess. Don't expect to much. In fact, don't even read this comment. I'll probably end up not doing it.

Sounds like dedicated server for Linux is going to be a reality here soon according to a post in the T3D 1.1 announcement blog post. Not sure what level of support or integration it will have, but that is a big plus. Would be nice to have the client bit too, but the server part is huge for those who want to run dedicated servers.

No.
You could take the mac version of tgea and port it to linux, but it may/may not be a pain to do.
