Just checked out the promo game level. It looks like really good design work, but this thing bogged to 5fps on my 256mb 8600m / 2.8Ghz / 8Gb RAM machine. Did you try to see what perf was like in TGEA at all?

he said but they are the same files so how could it make a difference it makes a large difference when someone want sot buy something.
i know i took off my edit in my post as he said it was bad for business but still he needs to show it in TGEA not unity for us. at lest i rather see it working in TGEA then unity. i almost got it till i tried the demo.

ya i asked him for a TGEA demo he don't have one so i don't think he ever tried it in TGEA. i don't like unity the performance sucks and it just has to many bugs in it. i really think he should try it in TGEA be for even trying to sell it to anyone that want it here at GG i rather test it in TGEA be for i would even buy it.he said but they are the same files so how could it make a difference it makes a large difference when someone want sot buy something.

As for the level running slow on your pc Brett, im at a loss with that, becauase the game comes with 6 quality modes - so its quite easy to switch between those.
Also the level is meant to demonstrate the models in realtime, rather than being a depictive game level that is supposed to run at 40 frames a minute.
Brandon, as for me making sure these run optimal in tgea, they do.. remember i have dts versions of these models. Maybe that level doesnt run amazing on your machine, but could be said about any model pack being laid out in a level form and not running great. As the models vary between 3000 polys to around 6000 there is no reason the models wouldnt run great. Also remember how much you get in this pack for the price. The music addition alone is worth the money

Brandon, you keep being a big negative about this pack for some reason. I have supported torque for over 4 years, and make sure everything works with the torque game engine. I had optimisation scripts that culled the interiors, and the point lights inside the houses, however this would not work on the windows version i was using, due to some error in the process of moving between the mac and pc. Therefore.... you have 30 point lights all rendering at one time, which in any game engine would kill performance.
I did hesitate whether to include them, but wanted the interiors lit. On my machine which had 4 gig, intel core duo, plus nvidia 9800 gt run at 1680 resolution i get 25-35 fps without the culling
