Asset Bank on TDN

You know what would be great? A GG sponsored Asset Bank. That is, user contributed art assets that any licensed user could download and use royalty free.
Back in the "old" TDN, we could upload files - if this were re-enabled, we could leverage that and have an Asset Bank up and going with very little work. I have old models and textures that could be uploaded, and we often see people post links to textures and models, that then disappear later when they move, decide they don't want the bandwidth used, etc. This would be a pretty good bonus for licensed users.
Just a wish.

Did the Digital Boneyard ever get resurrected? That was a handy resource when it was still up.

Doesn't DCMA offer protections against that kind of stuff- for Web 2.0 sites like YouTube and whatnot that host uploaded content but cannot always be on top of what's there? If some sort of flagging system were in place for reporting content that is outside of those boundaries, then it should work the same. Then again, I'm not a lawyer...
Would be a really nice idea though...

It's a wish. I have stuff I would like to share, and can't always spare the bandwidth - and all the 3rd party places seem to come and go. :(

@Stefan: Perhaps there are ways to lessen the burden - disclaimers, perhaps limiting uploads to certain classes of users, requiring people to certify that they are the owner of the copyright, providing a web interface for people to request removal of resources, or maybe putting the actual files on a place like filefront, and just providing the links. It's a wish.
