Elf Woman runs like an Orc Grunt

The animations and skeleton setup for the Elf woman appear to be the same as for the Orc man. The net effect is... disturbing.
Also, the characters seem to move way too fast for the animations, leading to very obvious foot sliding. I'd rather slow down the characters than speed up the animation, though -- this is fantasy foot-soldier warfare, not Quake, right?
Anyway, I thought someone else must have commented on this somwhere, but a quick search turned up nothing.

The running animations are too slow in general, the feet hit the ground at a much slower pace than people run in real life.
We will probably wait until we are pretty sure about the overall movement speeds then go back and make the animations match.

Well, the foot sliding problem can only be fixed by changing the animations. I have tried slowing down the movement speeds to match the animations, and the net effect is that characters move like molasses in winter. You can just slow down the animations in the code. I have all my animations pull from a scale value to determine the playback speed. Generally this is 1.0 (100%) but sometimes I need to slow it down. If you want me to post some code, I'd be happy to.
