Questions for Wacom Cintiq 21UX owners...(and monitor owners)

I was wondering how you Cintiq owners have things set up. I was thinking of getting one of these, and also a regular monitor, along with a new system. Do you bother running 2 displays (primary monitor and Cintiq) or just the Cintiq? I've been doing a lot of research the last few days on LCD monitors -- it's enough to make your head spin with all the terms being flung around such as IPS/H-IPS (which seems to be better for artists), the VA variants, TN etc. The only LCD I've owned so far came with my Gateway laptop from Radio Shack. :P

I found this Cintiq thread interesting:

The poster there seems to state that the Cintiq's color management is actually pretty good -- no need for something like the Spyder color calibration program. That seems reasonable, considering the Cintiq's $2000 pricetag.
I'm probably going to buy a monitor to go with the Cintiq (havent decided what), but been rather torn...I see a nice H-IPS based LCD on Newegg..but it's also 600 bucks -- and that's the cheapest one based on that tech, I think:

Seems a foolish purchase if you dont really "need it", especially when you can get a 28 inch monitor like this, for 360$:

This is the pre-built system I was thinking of getting, if I didnt build one:

Well mainly everything that's gonna be bought is for an artist, so gaming is a low priority. Maybe some gamedev, but mostly for creating art assets -- need a machine that can handle Photoshop CS4 Extended and Illustrator, perhaps at the same time. I had $1400 to $1500 in parts priced out for a system build, but I think some of it was overkill...(and money is a concern here), hence the $679 system I linked previously.

Anyway, I'm not in a rush to buy....yet.

My biggest concern is wondering if the Nvidia 9600GT can handle the 28 inch Hans and the Cintiq at the same time w/o encountering input lag on the Cintiq. (For example, Firefox running with tutorials on the Hans and Photoshop on the Cintiq.)Anyway, I'm not in a rush to buy....yet.

@Phoenix: I have the 28" Hanns, and it's a good monitor, but it's not an IPS panel, nor even an MVA (both of which are better). It's a TN, but then again, TN is better than it used to be. I have an MVA panel hooked up right next to it, so I can get accurate color when I need it. I drive both of this at full resolution with an 8800GTS, without an issue, and at work I drive two similar models without problems with an 8600GS. I don't think you will have a problem with a 9600GT.

Thanks for the info, Jaimi. :) I had heard it was a TN as well...I figured that for its size, you couldnt beat the price :)

if you are thinking of playing games with a new monitor don't get one thats over 22" but for building games the bigger the better maybe. i am going to get a new screen as well but as i play games here and there i goign to get a 22" as the higher the res for games the worse it gets when playing online.
looks like your spending all your money into screens then new comp thats fine but me i rather spend it on new system which i already have. i payed $1,600 for my computer which is a very good system i like it allot.
