Constructor acting weird.

by Greg Clark · in Technical Issues · 02/26/2009 (8:27 pm) · 2 replies

When I DL Constructor from the site, it tells me that it may not have installed correctly. I get two choices: Reinstall using recommended settings or agree that the program was installed correctly. I went ahead and went with the first option. When I used the program, the cursor is off by about an inch below the cross hair. It makes it difficult to resize on the grid. Also, I cant find any way to click on different shapes after I have made multiple ones. It would only let me hilight the most recent one made.

Im using Vista. Im not sure if this would be a reason, but its messing with my time to get my project done.

If anyone knows, Id appreciate your help.

Thanks!

This happens with some video cards (usually ATI). Right click on the executable and select Properties. On the compatibility tab, select "disable visual themes". Try it again. If that doesn't work, you'll also need to select "Disable desktop composition", but that will also turn off Aero while you have constructor open. (no big deal for me, I turn it off anyway)

None of the options under compatibility are checked.
