The Pirate Olympics

Inspired again by me playing other games...ok actually this time I happened to be looking for something else and ran across my Monkey Island disks.
The Pirate Olympics would be a comical, sterotypical view of pirate contests.
First you "make" your pirate like in RPG games. Things like intellegence, charisma, stamina, strength, vision, peg-legged, hook-handed, grog tolerence etc...
These would then produce your pirate "athlete."
Games would include, but not be limited to:
Row Boat Races; Row around the marked course the fastest.
Map Reading; read a map, find the treasure in the fewest moves
Looting; Loot a village in a limited amount of time.
Grog Drinking; Drink grog, fast.
Parrot Teaching; Teach a parrot to talk, or do things.
Cutlass duels; Arr! Sword fighting.
Ship capturing; Keel-haul the scury dogs by capturing their ship in mock battles.
Spitting; Blatant Monkey Island rip-off...only with strategy.
Marksmanship; Shoot stuff.
The advantage here is it could be fun for both adults and children! Plus you could compete hotseat style (Like some of the old EA games Oplympics games)

Oh and Fredrik, I got your email, but I slipped and deleted it before I got a chance to respond.
I'm having some trouble with my computer, I think the Hard disk is going bad so I may be MIA for awhile, the two of you should talk amongst yourselves.

Hey you could have pirates doing the pole volt using their peg legs as a pole or you could have a competition to see who can hold an evil laugh for the longest without going into a dr evil running out of evil laughter trip up

I really loved the old Epyx sports games on the c-64. There was another game on the c-64 called the Caveman Ugh-lypmics that had a similar concept.
A few more games could be:
Rigging Racer - Climb to the crow's nest of the ship before the other pirates while dodging debris and holes in the rigging. A team game could involve the other side throwing stuff down at the racing team as they try to get as many guys to the top as possible.
Buried Treasure - A variation on the treasure hunt idea. Whoever can dig up the most treasure before the time is up wins. The loot would be scattered randomly around an island with some clues to it's location, maybe in floating bottles or something. And you have to compete and fight for the loot.
Navigation - Dodge rocks, reefs, rowboats and other stuff while racing other ships into port. You could up the difficulty by having the ship blow off course due to winds.
Barroom Brawl - Bottles, chairs, belaying pins and parrots are all weapons in a traditional bar fight between two crews.
Jailbreak - Try to escape from jail, avoid or outfight the guards and escape in your ship.
Capture the loot - Traditional capture the flag but with ships. Sail to your opponents fortress and get his treasure. The vehicles and fortresses have weapons as well and half the battle is getting back to your fort with the enemy after you.

Ok I've been mulling this over and narrowed the field to these events:
Boat Races - Race rowboats around a course
Looting/Buried Treasure - Collect the most treasure in a set amount of time
Cutlass duels - Like is sounds
Spitting - Spit the farthers
Marksmanship - Shoot stuff
Walk-the-Plank - Stylistic diving
Navigation - Sail a ship around a trecherous course
Capture the loot - Sail ships and capture fortresses (Like capture the flag)
Even then some of these could be cut. I want quality!

Speaking of booty, an event called the "angry wench race" may be fun, where a bunch of pirates are chased by a bunch of women with blunt objects and you have to some how keep your pirate running to keep him from getting beaten by the angry wenches.

They're pirates, they don't have loot...they have booty.
