Extreme! Mini-Golf!!!

So I was playing the Marble Blast demo (fun!) the other day and then today I was playing Need For Speed...an idea popped into my head: Extreme! Mini-Golf!!! <- Notice 3 exclamation marks for extra extremeness!

Sure there have been miniture golf games that claim to be "extreme" but none would live up to my idea.

The low down:

Imagine playing golf in a Frogger level, or a minefield, or in Zero-G. Or in a live volcano?

Four modes of play:

"Normal" Golf: Just your average game of Mini-Golf...in a car factory.

Mission Golf: Use your mad skillz to save the world or something by hitting things with a golf ball...I dunno, I didn't really think this one through.

Multiplayer "Normal" Golf: Same as "Normal" only with
more players. Hotseat, LAN or Online

Multiplayer Golf Rally: LAN or Online (Maybe Splitscreen) 2-6 player same hole...at the same time, not taking turns here. First to the cup wins!

Wrap all these ideas together, add in cartoony graphics and over the top comentators ("Ohh! Lost a ball to the Yetis, that can be a problem, Jim, tell us more about it!")...Tada! Extreme! Mini-Golf!!!

Now if I only had the skills to make it.

That sounds pretty cool, but could get annoying when lava kills your golf ball lol. But I think that would be much more playable then alot of golf games.

Hmm...yeah.

Maybe the player could win prizes or cash to buy different ball types like an fire-proof ball or a Spiked ball for crossing ice, or a floating ball.

These of course would have different physics, for example the spiked ball wouldn't roll as well but it wouldn't slide like crazy on ice or roll down hills (when it runs out of power to roll up them.)

That would make it even more extreme!

I like your idea of having funny commentaries. We definitely could use more games with wacky comedy in them. This could be a great parody of all the boring golf tournaments on TV with their hushed-tone, dry commentaries.

Yeah there are too many dark, twisted, bloodbath and serious games being developed. I like a game with at least a bit of humor, or a game developed by a team that doesn't take the project too seriously (ie a game that pokes fun at itself, some of the old "Serious" Adventure Games did this)

As for comentators, that's exactly what I was thinking. But the think is the comentators would have to be taking things "seriously" for it to work right. I'd say three commentators, British sounding guy, an American and a woman.
Something like the following:
__________
American: I'm Jack Irons and welcome to Extreme Golf. Here with me are Nigel Terwilliger and Steph Roberts. Todays course is a toughy, Nigel How are the contidions?

British: Oh it's a lovely day for golf here at Interstate 54 downs, the winds are light and this Sunday afternoon makes for ideal conditions when crossing the traffic hazards. Now players will have to look out for aliens, I've heard there making some trouble down on hole 5.

American: Also with us, as I said before is Extreme Golf champion Steph Roberts. Now Steph you've played this course, what can you tell us about it?

Woman: Well Jack...

On a side note, Marble blast is similar in style to golf.
