Source Code Forum

Is there anyway to access the old Source Code Forum? I wish there was still one for discussion as I need to start diving into the Source code and I am not too sure on how the C++ determines the script variables and what not.

Is GG planning on putting another source code forum up or atleast archiving the old forums for a short duration so the members can have access to them. If needs be I wouldn't mind taking the old forum and condensing the important information into a thread since I need to go through it all anyhow.

Thanks
Dane

The private forums still exist. They appear at the top of the forums page under the My Products heading.

I see those but there is no longer a Source Forum.. Is the forums under the "Engine" tab the new Source discussion area?

No - the "(private)" forums are for source discussion

Oh, I see what you meant. You're talking about how the private forums used to be broken up with subforums for engine, art, general, etc. Those are all gone, the distinction at least, the threads all still exist. All the private forums were merged into a single private forum for each engine.

Yeah I should have been more clear hehe. There used to be a Private section then under that we had our catagories and one was Source which was a section where ONLY source code was discussed. Was wondering if that still existed somewhere in an archive or something.

No big deal, just wanted to try and learn what I could from old post. Thanks Jaimi and Scott!

According to GarageGames' analysis, we, the users were too confused by the many forum sub-categories that used to exist, thus they were all merged into one big mess sorted by engines public/private.

You can still learn from old posts, it just takes five times the effort now to find the relevant threads.
