Space Conquest (Name Pending)

Space Conquest is a currently small project that may, in the future, lead to something bigger. It will be using the torque engine. I have a lot of plan, but I only want to share with people who would be interested in a project with the following details:

-Space based
-Very simple plan to start, try to accomplish enough to have a very small playable demo, and if that goes well we'll expand on it
-Needs 1 or 2 modelers, 1 or 2 concept artists, and 1 or 2 coders.

I should add that by starting small I want to have only a few things you can do to start. The main things I want to do to start is have a small starting port with a small merchant place with buying/selling capabilities, and also a hangar in which you will fly out of into space. The way that would work is you get in a ship, a cutscene shows you going out of the hangar, and you're in space until you dock again. Maybe another small port as well.

Also, there is a few other features I should mention. Flying your ship in some sort of pilot's seat, you're third person flying your ship. You can get out of the pilot's seat and the ship will continue moving that direction and speed that you left it in and you can walk around the ship in first person. Beyond that I need a fairly experienced torque programmer to find out a few other things.

If those things interest you at all, contact me and I will share with you the entire plan. It's not meant to be hush hush, it's just easier to explain when it's just person to person.

Oh good, a small one! I'm looking for something really simple and small that can be done in 4-6 months, just to have actually made something and seen it through from start to finish. Email me: jldykstra at gmail dot com.

I've been wanting to do exactly that kind of game for a while. But it is to much for just one person. Maybe I can help with programming Torque script and changes to the engine code if necessary.
