So I hear that Torque 3D is coming, is anything happening for Torque 2D?

Just curious.
Thanks.

I have started working full-time on TGB so I can assure you that plenty is planned and is currently happening with the product.

However, I am not in a position currently to be able to provide any more information than that but I thought your question justified my (albeit limited) response!

You can expect plenty of blogs from me this year on this very subject.

Ok, fair enough, I was just wondering if the same was happening on the T2D side of things as were happening on the T3D.
Thank you kindly.

I honestly wish I could provide you more information, what with my blabbering mouth and all!

GREEN :D

Oh, by the way since I have your attention, maybe I can put this out for an idea. I noticed this in another thread and maybe I should put it there, but for the next version, or if we are getting a major re-vision, how about Native Xbox 360 Controller Functions built in? I know you can do bindings for it but we also have other controls, like Vibration Feedback that could be useful for game play or just making your controller shake apart when you're battling the high alien mothership.

I am not that familiar with the controls for feedback but I will ask about this internally and see what we can accommodate.

Lol always good to here about TGB updates, By the way any idea when a "little" update will happen because there is this bug and everytime I go to add in an animation with TGB it keeps taking off the re do animation thing, the one where you let the animation continue until you script it off.

Also if there is an update when do I get to download it without paying more money?

You have to take Matt's word for it. He's a trained Ninja.
Although Ninja's are always sneaky. They get in your fridge and take your beer.
I'm lucky though, I have a Pirate guarding my fridge.

You have to add a Theora video manager similar to the Animation Cycle and Particle Effect Managers!

Well, I am not in GG. Yet judging by their responses, I believe these things will be 100% included:

1. Shaders (HALLELUJAH!!!!). Normal Mapping, Relief Mapping, and maybe a few others?

2. Common bugs will be fixed. Collision, networking... All the bugs that we hate.

3. More shaders (sorry... I just REALLY want shaders...)

Here's hoping for texture compression...

... and the ability to specify which textures to load into VRAM or take out of VRAM for a given level...

What about an update to allow TGB to program a game itself while listening the programmer orders?

That will requires voice recognition of course :)

Any details on when we might hear something (ex waiting on T3D to reach a certain point) or is it going to be simply once everything is in place?
