Hi all,
i am a user of TGE 1.5.2 and am making in developent of an rpg that requires polysoup collision.
Does TGEA come with PolySoup already set up?
From Max
PS. what are the pros of upgrading to TGEA

Quote:what are the pros of upgrading to TGEAToo many to list here. But primarily think OPTIMIZATION. OPTIMIZATION. OPTIMIZATION. TGEa renders far faster and with superior quality than TGE. Having shaders, large terrains (Mega), even larger terrains (Atlas), polysoup, refactored engine layout, code cleanup, etc, are all also very good. Plus almost everything that was a feature of TGE is still in TGEa and possibly improved. Nowadays (1.8+) there is also multi-platform support, so the old "TGEa is only for Windows" complaint is no longer valid.

is it worth the upgrade to 1.8.1 ($145) or should i wait for torque 3D...
also, will there be an upgrade availible for TGE to Torque 3D, or only from TGEA to Torque 3D?
From Max
PS. also, does TGEA come with any starter kits like TGE does (i know you can intergrate these, but are there any new ones?)
PPS. how hard is it to move a game from TGE -> TGEA (including engine changes?)

me i going right to tgea as i don't nee t3d to low of a spec for me i don't like low spec games i want to make good looking games. i might not use tgea though but i want it just in case i decide i want to as i really want t3d now mostly from what i already seen. if its not easy work with it be fine with me as long as it can do that rain wall thing that perfect for me. i think it will be easy to do the stuff they have shown already as you can do the same stuff in tgea it just take allot of coding they just makeing it easy to do that stuff in t3d. ok i can go on and on with t3d as i love it already and will even more each post he makes about t3d.

from what i hear the discount will only be from tgea to t3d not tge to t3d. then again couldn't you upgrade to tgea and then just get the discount from t3d so i do not quite know. i don't see why you would not upgrade to tgea now and get that engine in your account as well as you still going to have to pay more money for t3d anyway its not like its going to be any cheaper if you go from tge to t3d if they going to have a upgrade path from tge to t3d.me i going right to tgea as i don't nee t3d to low of a spec for me i don't like low spec games i want to make good looking games. i might not use tgea though but i want it just in case i decide i want to as i really want t3d now mostly from what i already seen. if its not easy work with it be fine with me as long as it can do that rain wall thing that perfect for me. i think it will be easy to do the stuff they have shown already as you can do the same stuff in tgea it just take allot of coding they just makeing it easy to do that stuff in t3d. ok i can go on and on with t3d as i love it already and will even more each post he makes about t3d.
